Children who have reached the age of reason (usually seven or older), who have not been baptized or who have been baptized in another faith, or who have not received the Sacrament of the Eucharist at the traditional age, may seek formation in our parish. This process requires both a conversion that is personal and the faith education they need for their spiritual growth. The children's progress depends on the help and example and the influence of their parents. Parent involvement is essential.

Jesus made a special point of welcoming the children. Saint Francis Borgia celebrates Liturgy of the Word for children preschool (3 years old) through 2nd Grade at the 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM Sunday Mass. The children are dismissed from Mass to hear and discuss the Sunday readings at their own level. The children return to their pews afterwards to celebrate the remainder of the Mass with their families.

Scheduled during the month of July, the Vacation Bible School provides parish children an opportunity to learn more about Jesus and share time with other children in faith-filled activities. Led by Kyra Gulledge, she is supported by a wonderful team of volunteer adults and teens to provide a fun, yet meaningful week of receiving the message of The Good News.
Registration details and forms are provided online prior to the next summer's event.
